8-HOUR TEIDE TOUR: SUNSET & STARS – LOW DIFFICULTY

Marvel at the sight of the pyramid-shaped shadow of Mount Teide projected on to the sea, and the spectacular sunset from the Pico Viejo Viewpoint trail, with remarkable views of southern Tenerife and some of the neighbouring islands on the horizon.

Enjoy a mouthwatering dinner, and then the star-studded sky in the company of a Starlight guide and using long-range telescopes.

IMPORTANT INFORMATIONS

• This complete tour designed to enjoy Mount Teide at nighttime includes a 40-minute walk both ways of medium-low difficulty, therefore you must be in good physical shape.
• If the trail to the Pico Viejo viewpoint is closed due to ice or snow on the day of your Mount Teide Tour, you can skip the walk to Pico Viejo and still enjoy the beautiful Teide sunset from La Rambleta.
• Anyone wearing open footwear (sandals), shorts or short sleeves will not be allowed to join the excursion. It is essential to be suitably attired, as the activity will be undertaken in low temperatures.
• It is absolutely necessary to produce the booking confirmation, either printed or displayed on a mobile.

RESTRICTIONS

• Children under 8 are not allowed to participate in this night-time tour to Mount Teide.
• Since this excursion includes a cable car ride, people with heart problems and pregnant women are not allowed to participate in it due to the risk that high altitude poses to their health.
• People with health problems should consult with their doctors before taking this night tour to Mount Teide.
• In accordance with current regulations, persons with any physical disability or motor impairment are not permitted to make the ascent by cable car, because of the potential risks if the vehicle has to be evacuated.
• It is essential to bear in mind that in the event of the failure of the cable car system due to unexpected technical reasons, passengers already at the upper station will have to make their descent on foot and using steep mountain paths.
• Pets are not allowed.

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT

• Protect yourself from the sun. It’s recommended that you use hats, sunglasses and sunscreen
• Due to the low levels of humidity that are common in the TO, come prepared with sufficient liquid (water or juices) to prevent dehydration
• Bring comfortable clothes and adequate footwear (avoid sandals)
• Bring some warm clothes in case the weather changes abruptly

WEATHER CONDITIONS

In the event that weather conditions impede the operation of the cable car for the ‘Sunset & Stars’ activity, the sunset shall be enjoyed either from the Chío viewpoint or from Los Roques de García, customers shall be refunded the price of the cable car ticket.

If weather conditions prevent the astronomical observation from taking place, customers shall be refunded the price of the astronimical observation.
