After an approximate hour walk, together, you and your group can enjoy the stunning views over the summits of Tenerife’s neighbouring islands – La Gomera, El Hierro, La Palma and Gran Canaria from the highest point in Spain (weather permitting).

VIP ascent to the Peak by Cable Car also includes free admission to the “Science and Legend” exhibition which you will find at the Teide Cable Car Visitors’ Centre.

PICK-UP POINTS AND HOURS 

The approximate pick-up time for the VIP ascent to the Peak by Cable Car is at 8.00am or 10.00am at the entrance to your hotel. We will contact you to arrange your pick-up. For the same reason we need you to provide the name of your hotel or address of accommodation, as well as a mobile phone number. Please, text us via Whatsapp or mail after booking.

If you are making your own way here, please meet your guide at the Cable Car base station, next to the boarding area. The meeting time will be confirmed via e-mail.

IMPORTANT INFORMATIONS

• Please be aware that we cannot confirm your VIP hike to Teide and cable car package reservation until we have issued named access passes to the crater for each member of your group.
• A minimum reservation for 2 people is required.
• It is necessary to present your ID or passport at the point of access to the trail leading to the crater.
• In the event that the path to the peak is closed, Teide National Park staff may permit access only to mountaineers belonging to a federation who can provide sufficient proof of their ability, and who are appropriately equipped (with mountain-climbing equipment—in particular boots, crampons and an ice-axe). It is the individual’s responsibility to ensure that they possess the appropriate documentation and equipment, therefore the absence of either exempts Volcano Teide from any liability.
• The ascent to the peak involves a hike of approximately two hours (ascent and descent), and is is rated as high difficulty. Therefore, visitors need a good level of fitness. If the guide decides that you do not have the required level of fitness, in the interests of your safety, they can ask you to abandon the trail or the activity.

RESTRICTIONS

• Children under 6, pregnant women and people with heart problems are not allowed to participate in this exclusive activity for private groups to hike up to the Teide summit with the Teide Cable Car due to the risk that high altitude poses to their health.
• The VIP ascent to the Peak by Cable Car is not recommended for people with reduced mobility or injuries.
• If any member of your group has health problems, they should consult with their doctors before undertaking this hike.
• In accordance with current regulations, persons with any physical disability or motor impairment are not permitted to make the ascent by cable car, because of the potential risks if the vehicle has to be evacuated.
• It is essential to bear in mind that in the event of the failure of the cable car system due to unexpected technical reasons, passengers already at the upper station will have to make their descent on foot and using steep mountain paths.
• Pets are not allowed.

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT

• Protect yourself from the sun. It’s recommended that you use hats, sunglasses and sunscreen
• Due to the low levels of humidity that are common in the TO, come prepared with sufficient liquid (water or juices) to prevent dehydration
• Bring comfortable clothes and adequate footwear (avoid sandals)
• Bring some warm clothes in case the weather changes abruptly

WEATHER CONDITIONS

With regard to the Ascent to the Peak activities, in the event that weather conditions impede the operation of the cable car, a visit to the National Park with an alternative hike will be held instead. Customers will be refunded the following amounts for each activity option:

VIP ascent to the Peak by Cable Car with transport: Customers will be refunded the price difference between the ‘Private Teide Tour’ and the ‘VIP ascent to the Peak with transport’ excursions, i.e., €165 per person shall be charged up to a maximum of 2 participants, and €49.00 for each additional person. The difference paid shall be refunded.

VIP ascent to the Peak by Cable Car without transport: €115 per person shall be charged up to a maximum of 2 participants, and €31.00 for each additional person. The difference paid shall be refunded.

In the event that the cable car is open but the trail used to ascend to the peak remains closed by Teide National Park staff, a visit to the National Park will be held with ascent by cable car up to La Rambleta, followed by an alternative hike. Should this occur, the following amounts shall be charged:

VIP ascent to the Peak by Cable Car with transport: Customers will be refunded the price difference between the ‘Private Teide Tour with cable car’ and the ‘VIP ascent to the Peak with transport’ excursions, i.e., €197.50 per person shall be charged up to a maximum of 2 participants, and €85 for each additional person. The difference paid shall be refunded.

VIP ascent to the Peak by Cable Car without transport: €147.50 per person shall be charged up to a maximum of 2 participants, and €73 for each additional person. The difference paid shall be refunded.
